ACADEMY RULES & REGULATIONS

DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION

Whenever used in any section of the Academy general Terms & Conditions and/or the registration form, the following words and terms have the meanings set out below unless inconsistent with the context:

Academy means the Juventus Academy Qatar operated by ةيميداكا سوتنيفوج ltd., a company incorporated in Qatar under number 155991;

Activities field means the football pitch and other facilities – including changing areas, toilettes, spectator areas, indoor areas, waiting areas, etc. – where Training Sessions are held;

Guardian(s) means a minor Child’s parents and/or the person(s) legally responsible of a Child and exercising parental authority; Parent(s) has the same meaning;

Juventus FC means JUVENTUS FC S.p.A., with registered office in Via Druento n. 175, 10151 Turin (Italy) VAT Reg. No. 00470470014;

Participants means the Parents and the Players;

Player means a minor child, registered by his Parents to participate in the Academy activities; Child and Children have the same meaning;

Terms means a period in the year, made of a number of weeks, during which Training Sessions are held. And Season means all the Terms available in such year;

Terms & Conditions means the Academy general terms and conditions made of the following sections, each section being an integral component of such general terms and conditions, and all sections together constituting the general terms and conditions: i. the rules & regulations, ii. the data protection policy, iii. the image right and media consent, and iv. the Covid-19 declaration;

Training Sessions means the meetings organized by the Academy where players train and play football, including the matches;

The Training Sessions and the Activities Field, depending on the context, will have the broad meaning which includes the presence of the player within the premises of the Academy, from the moment he is dropped off until the moment he is picked up.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Juventus Academy in Qatar has formulated this Code of Conduct and requires that all participants respect and comply with such code of conduct:

A- GENERAL CONDUCT

  • Punctuality and regard for established timetables.
  • Tidiness and cleanliness, both in personal care and of the facilities.
  • The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited.
  • Have regard for rules established by coaches and other Academy personnel.
  • Take care of materials and the facilities.
  • Items belonging to another person must never be taken or used without permission.
  • Not engage in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any coach, parent, player, participant, official, or any other attendee.
  • Consumption and/or being in possession of tobacco and/or alcohol and/or drugs are strictly prohibited. Anyone in breach of this rule will be immediately excluded from the Academy.

B- PARENTS/GUARDIANS

As parents/guardians you will contribute to the development of a safe and fun environment where your minor Children can play football, and therefore you commit to:

  • Cooperate with and show respect for everyone who takes part in the game.
  • Promote an honest game and high standards of behavior.
  • Accept decisions made by competent officials.
  • Not use or tolerate offensive or abusive behavior or language with/by players or officials.
  • Appreciate the effort and participation rather than focusing on the performance and the results.
  • Neither tolerate nor encourage any form of bullying.
  • Not humiliate nor diminish the minors or their efforts in a match, in a training session or blame them for not winning a match.
  • Not to physically punish any minors.
  • Respect the privacy of minors, for example by not entering changing rooms without first speaking to the coach.
  • Refrain from the inappropriate use of social media, which includes not publishing photographs or comments on minors or their families on personal social media (e.g. Facebook or other websites) without the permission of the parents, as interested parties.

As parents/guardians you have the right to:

  • Know that the minor children during the activities are safe and protected from all forms of inappropriate conduct or
  • Be informed of any problem or concern related to your children or entrusted minor.
  • Express your concern about the safety and well-being of your children or of any other minor to the coach and/or the   Child Safeguarding Officer, Coach Marco Casula +974 33195501.
  • Expect that your concerns be promptly managed and addressed in the most appropriate manner if necessary, involving the competent authorities.

C- CHILDREN

Playing football, training and playing in matches and tournaments should always be a safe and amusing experience for children.

That’s why it is important to be clear on behavior that the Academy expects from everyone.

By accepting to take part in the activities of the Academy, it is important players understand and agree with this behavior code of conduct.

In taking part in the football activities players have the right to:

  • Have fun and develop my football skills.
  • Feel safe and happy.
  • Be protected from inappropriate behavior, by adults and my peers that make me feel uncomfortable or sad.
  • Speak and be listened to, especially if I have concerns or don’t feel safe.
  • Know where to go to ask for help and who to speak to if I’m afraid or worried about something.
  • Be looked after if I hurt myself. Receive assistance in the event of an accident or injuries.

Players also undertake to:

  • Create and maintain a playing and training environment that is pleasant and respectful of everyone’s right, whether male or female.
  • Respect their coaches and my teammate.
  • Play in a fair way.
  • Shake hands with the other team’s players and the referee at the end of the match.
  • Ensure that they are on time for training sessions, the matches and any other football activity.
  • Inform their team manager/coach of any injuries or medical conditions before or during the activities.
  • Respect and help their other peers to take part fully, behaving as a model of sportsmanship.
  • Respect the dignity, values and the point of view of their peers.
  • Never use vulgar, racist, homophobic, discriminatory or offensive language towards anyone.
  • Not use social media (Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, WhatsApp, etc.) to offend, wound, or upset anyone, for example by spreading negative comments or private images without any consent.

Players are also aware that if anyone is behaving inappropriately, if they feel uneasy or in danger, they can always talk about it with Coach Marco Casula +974 33195501 or with any adult figure who they trust within the project.

These figures will listen to them calmly and serenely and will help to put an end to the situations that concern me or make them feel upset.

RELATIONSHIPS WITH COACHES AND ACADEMY PERSONNEL

Each group of players has a designated coach who is there to assist and help them. Players should inform their coach if any problem or inconvenience arises so the coach can try to resolve the issue. If a player doesn’t inform the coach, the coach cannot be aware of any concern a player may have and therefore won’t be able to assist.

DRESS CODE

Players should enter the activities field fully prepared for the training session wearing their full Academy kit, shirt, shorts, socks, football boots. They should also have all necessary equipment with them such as shin pads, water bottle, etc.

It is forbidden for players to wear or use any of the following during training sessions: non official clothing, sunglasses, watches, bracelets, chains, chewing gum, mobile phones, or any other item that could endanger the players’ safety.

Any player in breach of above terms will not be able to participate to the training session.

LOST PROPERTY AND VALUABLE OBJECTS

It is not advised to bring valuable objects to the training sessions as the Academy cannot accept responsibility and/or liability for any item being lost, stolen or damaged.

Players are responsible for their own belongings, should look after them and must assume liability for their own property during their training sessions.

If an object is lost during a training session, parents and/or players are requested to inform their coaches and also the Academy personnel, who will do their utmost to find the lost property.

DROP OFF & PICK UP

A- DROP OFF

  1. Punctuality – Parents should ensure players are dropped off to training on time, 15 minutes before their training session beings.
  2. Safety – Parents should either drop players off by the gate or park their cars in the car park and walk with players to the gate. They should ensure players have been seen by a coach before leaving.
  • Covid-19 – Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Parents are not allowed to enter the Academy grounds or attend the training of their children.

B-  PICK UP

  1. Punctuality – Parents should be on time to collect players. Players’ coaches may have training sessions right after, so they cannot and will not be responsible for the children once the training session is over. ii. Belongings – Parents should ensure players leave the training session with all their belongings and personal effects.
  2. Safety: Parents should come to the gate to collect players. Players should not leave the training session without an adult with them. Players will have access to a phone if required. When parents expect to be late picking up players, they need to contact and inform the Academy.
  3. If players are to be collected by anyone other than the parents, parents need to inform the Academy by sending a WhatsApp or text message to the Academy with the full name of the person who will be picking up the players.
TRAINING CLASSES & SESSIONS SCHEDULES

Only the Academy can assign the classes and coaches to players. Parents cannot be involved in the decision making-process or request that a player be assigned to a specific group.

Training times and/or schedules might be subject to changes with notice, especially during Ramadan, school holidays and/or spring and winter breaks, or in any situation that is beyond the control of the Academy. Any calendar changes will be communicated via mail, phone or social media.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENTS

The fees are set out in the registration form and include the football activities/trainings, equipment, coaching, as well as the official Juventus Academy Qatar uniform kit as detailed in the registration form.

Upon registration, Players are required to provide a copy of their passport or ID.

The registration can’t be transferred to any other person or to any family member.

Payments can be done by cash or checks or credit cards.

Any registration will be considered confirmed after the full payment of the term has been made, or in the case of installments, after the first installment has been paid.

In the event payments are made in installments, parents are committed to pay the full amount of the term or terms or season’s fees as the case may be. Outstanding – including not yet due and/or overdue – fees’ installments are not refundable and shall remain due in all circumstances. Downgrade is not applicable in any circumstances. REFUND POLICY & FORCE MAJEURE

Refund Policy

Fees are non-refundable.

Refunds &/or vouchers will be granted only in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Academy management.

Vouchers are only valid for the next term(s).

Covid-19 & Force Majeure

If the Academy cancels one or more terms due to Covid-19’s Qatar governmental restrictions and/or in the event of any case of Force Majeure, participants will be offered a non-refundable voucher credit for the next term or terms as the case may be.

More generally, the Academy will not be liable for any loss, damage, detention, delay or failure to perform in whole or in part resulting from causes beyond the Academy’s control, including, but not limited to, pandemics, fires, strikes, act of God, war, insurrections, riots, embargoes, shortages of motor vehicles, delays in transportation, or governmental requirements or regulations or any other civil or military authority (Force Majeure).

INSURANCE

Insurance subscribed by the Academy

At the start of a season, the Academy will subscribe an insurance policy with a first-class local insurer in the event of injuries or accidents during the training sessions, and only directly related to such activity.

The subscribed insurance policy provides coverage for the following risks:

  1. Players’ accidents: medical expenses, permanent disability and/or death; ii. Civil liabilities (civil Responsibility Insurance)

The terms and conditions of the policy subscribed by the Academy can be provided upon request.

Players’ personal insurance

Despite abovementioned insurance, players must have their own individual/personal health and accident insurance, and parents are required to make sure their children are adequately insured.

The Academy cannot be held responsible for any injuries which may occur during the training sessions and which result from the ordinary football and/or sport practice.

CHILDREN AND PARENTS LIABILITY

The Academy declines all responsibility for acts of vandalism, intentional destruction or theft carried out by a player during training sessions.

By registering their minor children at the Academy, the parents accept that their civil liability may be involved and they commit to inform their children accordingly.

The cost of any damage caused by a player will be passed on to his parents.

BREACH OF RULES

Any player violating the terms of Academy’s rules and regulations can receive a personal warning, be prevented from participating in one or more training sessions, or banned and excluded from the Academy, depending on the seriousness of the violation and the player’s background/track record.

In addition, any parent in material breach of the Academy’s Terms and Conditions may see their child or children banned and excluded from the Academy.

The exclusion of a children will in no case give the right to any refund, and any outstanding – including not yet due and/or overdue – fees balance will remain due as per the terms set out in paragraph “Registration & Payments”.

IMAGE RIGHT & MEDIA CONSENT

The Juventus Academy Qatar / ةيميداكا سوتنيفوج ltd. (the Academy) may capture and use Players’ image and/or voice, either through recordings or interviews or through photographs, in order to promote the activity of the Academy and/or the Juventus FC S.p.A. (the Juventus FC), carry out training of coaches and/or beneficiaries, through the creation of promotional videos and/or any other audiovisual work; and the reproduction and subsequent publication thereof in the different media and in other channels such as websites, social media, magazines, presentations, brochures, advertisements and posters, but always in accordance with child safeguarding guidelines.

The Academy and/or the Juventus FC will hold the exclusive image right in all such images, video recordings and audio recordings set out hereabove.

This consent has no economic compensation or counterpart, has no geographic scope limitations and extends for an unlimited period of time.

DATA PROTECTION POLICY

In your capacity as a “Data Subject” (You), as the individuals – parents and players – to whom the data processing refers, we wish to inform you of a series of information relating to the ways personal data is used.

JUVENTUS ACADEMY QATAR / ةيميداكا سوتنيفوج ltd. (the Academy) will collect, process and use your personal data as described in this data protection policy.

PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING

The collection and processing of personal data are carried out for the purpose of:

  1. completion of all operations imposed by regulatory obligations;
  2. establishment and execution of current contractual relationships;
  3. management of relations with the parents and players for administration, accounting, invoicing, management of any litigation, etc.;
  4. collection of statistics; and
  5. communication related to the Academy (news, offers, etc.).

Personal data will be processed according to the principles of correctness, lawfulness, transparency and protection of your privacy and your rights.

Personal data will not be sold or leased to third parties.

ORIGIN

The personal data processed come from the data subject themselves.

PROCESSING METHODS

The processing of data for the purposes set out above takes place in an automated manner, with the support of electronic media, and on paper by means of operations involving the collection, registration, organization, storage, consultation, processing, use and deletion of data.

PROCESSING AND STORAGE LOCATIONS

The data are currently processed and stored at the Academy’s main office in Qatar. They are also processed on the Academy’s behalf by professionals and/or companies in charge of carrying out management and administrative – accounting activities for the Academy.

According to the needs of the Academy, the data might be transmitted and/or processed and/or stored abroad, outside your home country/jurisdiction, at any time without previous notice.

COMMUNICATION OF DATA

Without prejudice to communications and dissemination carried out in compliance with legal obligations, the data may be communicated in Qatar and/or abroad, outside your home country/jurisdiction, to:

  • Juventus FC S.p.A., their authorized representatives, their partners, service providers, etc.
  • Professionals and consultants, law firms, insurance companies, etc.
  • Public and private entities, including inspections or audits carried out by: Financial Administrators, Tax Police Bodies, Judicial Authorities, Labor Inspectors, Health or Security Institutions, etc.;
  • Public or private entities entitled to request the data;
  • Persons designated as external processors, including companies or professionals providing IT support, accountants, or companies belonging to the same group;
  • Special data will be disseminated only as need or for health assistance.

DATA TRANSFER

The data will be disseminated abroad, outside your home country/jurisdiction, exclusively for the purposes described above.

DATA RETENTION TIME

The data provided will be stored in our archives, in Qatar and/or abroad outside your home country/jurisdiction, for the duration of the terms and, after termination, for an unlimited number of years.

DATA QUALITY AND SECURITY

The Academy uses industry-standards security measures in order to protect the data it has under its control against manipulation, loss, destruction, access by unauthorized persons, misuse, and alteration or against unauthorized disclosure.

RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

The Academy informs you that, as a data subject, you have the right to:

  • obtain confirmation of the existence or not of your personal data, even if not yet registered, and know such data     may be made available to you in an intelligible form and that you may obtain access to the data that relates to you;
  • obtain the updating, rectification of incorrect data, integration or deletion thereof, as well as restrict processing;
  • exercise the right to withdraw consent at any time if expressed.

PROCEDURES FOR EXERCISING RIGHTS

You may exercise these rights at any time:

  • by contacting the Academy’s data controller to assert your rights according to the provisions of this information and to consult on how to exercise your rights, at Juventus Academy Qatar.

COVID-19 DECLARATION

Dear Parent,

Under the guidance from the Ministry of Education, we will be operating the Juventus Academy Qatar with a number of precautionary measures in place. We are working on the assumption all participants (children and their parents) will have completed the quarantine requirements, if travelled internationally, as per Qatari law by the time the child/children return(s) to training.

Each morning, before training with the Juventus Academy Qatar, we need you to complete the following steps with your child/children.

  • Make sure your child/children do(es) not have a sore throat or other signs of illness, like a cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, congestion or runny nose, diarrhea, severe headache or vomiting. If your child/children display(s) any of these symptoms, he/they must stay at home and you should inform your child’s/children’s coach(es).
  • Take your child’s/children’s temperature, each morning before training. If the temperature is 37.8°C or higher, you must keep your child/children at home and inform his/their coach(es).
  • If your child/children has/have had close contact with a COVID-19 case, you must keep your child/children at home and inform his/their coach(es).

Once your child/children is/are in the Juventus Academy Qatar facility, his/their temperature will be taken by the security team and the coach(es). If his/their temperature is above 37.8°C, then he/they will be isolated and you will be asked to come and collect your child/ children immediately.

For children aged 12+ the coaches will also check the Ehteraz app status. Any children who do not have a green status will be isolated and you will be asked to come and collect your child/children immediately.

We request that you work with us in ensuring the health and safety of all children and staff at Juventus Academy Qatar and for this your cooperation is required.
